I don’t think there is anything better than camping in the middle of nowhere. Just you, a tent, the stars, and a thermal sleeping bag. My wife and I go backpacking two or three times a year, most of the time hiking into previously unseen territories and setting up a tent. We’ve seen some beautiful places in the process, and it’s never without a sense of adventure. Of course, we buy the best camping gear, so it’s no real hardship. With thermal sleeping bags, travel pillows, a high tech camp stove, a waterproof tent, and the best backpacks sold, its more like a day at the spa than camping.
